Do you struggle with fear or anxiety? So many of us do! Whether it’s from circumstances out of our control (nothing like a worldwide pandemic to stir up our emotions), or from the choices we’ve made, or even from irrational spiraling thoughts… Anxiety is definitely real and can be paralyzing! Here’s the thing, though, we have a Savior that’s willing to intercede for us, to help us, to save us. In the midst of things, it’s hard for all of us to remember that we are not alone. But in Matthew 11:28 (NIV) we see that Jesus said:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
The Lord our God is ready and waiting to help ease our fears if we just call on Him. I don’t know about you, but when I am overwhelmed with worry, I would love to experience that peace that only Christ can give. 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) also reads,
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
We can rely on our Savior, who we can trust to never leave our side for a second. How amazing is it that we can seek refuge in our Father in Heaven no matter what we are going through here on this earth!
Over the course of July, you will find that our weekly posts all center around our experiences with fear and anxiety, along with our reflections and what we have learned from these experiences. Have we peaked your interest yet? If so, we would love to help you see past the brokenness and discover how YOU are gracefully loved.
